North Carolina

Aunt Terri and Uncle Mark were so gracious to open their homes to us for a little family get-a-way. For those of you who don't know, my Uncle Mark had countless surgeries over the last year and spent a good portion of that time in the Cleveland Clinic. He had an open wound (about 6"wide and 8" long) to where you could visually see his intestines the entire time. He is a walking miracle and it is amazing to see God's healing and provisions in their life. Hearing their testimony is heartbreaking and yet encouraging.

My Aunt Terri is so much fun. Ever since I was a little girl, I remember going to their house every summer to spend a week or two. She has been a positive, caring, mentor in my life and we always have plenty to talk about.

She had fun with Finn and Finn with her!

Daddy shared his beer with Finn, who loved to chew on the top. Apparently the little bit of flavor he got was enjoyable!

Shane & Finn had fun lounging on the couch watching cartoons. Finn LOVED having all the undivided attention from daddy. Being it's Shane's busy season, a few days of down time is a cherished gift!

Finn played on the floor with their dogs and loves to roll around, grab his toes and make motor noises...just like daddy!

Here is Uncle Mark with Finn. Not the best picture of Finn, but the best picture I snagged of Mark. Mark was actually teasing me that he was going to teach Finn how to go down the stairs. Lol. Maybe that explains the look of sheer terror on Finn's face?!?!

Here is a video of Finn playing with daddy:
