Daddy's Digger

In September Shane pulled out most of our landscaping and put his creative powers to work. Even though our home was once a "parade" home, the landscaping was growing too big and he didn't like a lot of the plant choices. He added on a bed to the left side of the house and put plants in that were more on a color scheme we both love - blues, purples, light & dark greens.

Sadly, I'll have to wait till spring to get a finished photo. I don't know what I was thinking...but I don't have a finished photo to share. Finn, however, was THRILLED for this project to be going on in our front yard. Every chance he had, he was outside with a shovel or rake in hand or dragging potted plants around. His favorite was riding with daddy in his digger. He talked about for months! In fact, when he sees a skidsteer in one of his construction books he still calls it 'daddy's digger.'
There were times they had the wheels off the ground!
Finn drove.
Happy boys.
and so serious...
After all that hard work, it was time for a cookie. :)
