My girlfriend, Christine, has a birthday next week. We had her and her family over for an evening of celebration! We started with a nice bottle of wine and apps, dinner and finished with a chocolate cake! Given it was my first time making this chocolate cake (and I'm not the best baker) I was so excited it turned out so pretty! It was a relaxing, enjoyable, fantastic evening. The kids played well together...and here you can see Faith (her 3 yr old daughter) singing happy birthday to mom. (I think Chris was crying...I would too!! It was SOOOO sweet!)
Time to blow out the candles!
Eating the cake/glaze off the candles is the best!
