Shane got a new bike today, so we had to go try it out! We packed everyone up and headed down to the Peninsula to ride on the Towpath. Sad to say, I grew up in Ohio and have lived here for 25 years, then I've been back here for 3 years and this was my first time to this park. I rock climbed at Hinckley and hiked Brandywine falls...but never made it to the Towpath. It is gorgeous! I now want a bike rack so Finn & I can go all the time!
Shane loves to ride wheelies....

Hudson had to get his tires muddy...then they were ready to ride!

The boys were circling while Finn and I got our gear together.

Hudson told me daddy could make his bike jump....guess so!

Hudson loves to ride here...he came with Shane before.

Finn was excited too!

There was a train, so we had to wait till it passed.

Finn thought this was all VERY interesting.

We made a pit stop by the river.

Shane's new ride.

My ride and Finn's ride.

Hudson's ride (not sure why they don't make kick stands anymore?).

The trail...

One of the old locks. I kept thinking...this would be PERFECT for photos!!

We rode all the way down to the little store...'Trail Mix' and had ice cream.

This is a huge bridge you ride under. Everytime I'm on that bridge in a car I pray while I go across...it just scares me!

There is this really cool section of boardwalk.

The flowers were gorgeous.

This particular part of the trail reminded me of something from a movie...where the trees come to life or the little forest knomes would come walking out. haha.
I love spending weekend afternoons like this. I hope we have many more. Fall is, by far, my favorite time in Ohio. I love the smells, the sights...its so crisp and yummy!
